eLink Maker is an add-in tool for Microsoft® Word that assists in the creation of external links required during the compilation of eCTD documents.
By using this tool, the workload involved in creating external links is reduced, and it helps prevent setting omissions.
In eCTD compilation within the pharmaceutical industry, external links must be manually set by visually identifying the source and destination links between PDF files, using compilation systems or PDF editing tools.
When the author and compiler are different people, identifying the source links can take time, and there is a risk of errors or omissions in the link settings.
eLink Maker was developed to address these challenges. It identifies external link points at the Word document stage and provides link information that can be used in later compilation processes, supporting greater efficiency and improved quality in creating external links.
Automatically lists external link settings based on search patterns and font colors.
Additionally, document errors such as unclosed brackets in red boxes can also be automatically detected.
Links can be set to embed the first page of the PDF or the relevant text within the body of the document.
Automatically identifies areas that need to be added or updated during lifecycle revisions, and links can be set only to the modified sections.
